A utility object turned into a branded pocket accessory.
Phone references / 3D printed shell / M-inspired cutouts / black and blue variants / lifestyle product context
INDEPENDENT PROJECT / PRODUCT OBJECT / 3D PRINT
The point was not only to show the lighter case. It was to show the thinking around it: prototype constraints, brand-coded form language, texture, colorways, carry function, and the kind of imagery that makes a custom object feel finished.
Started from real phone documentation of the printed case to understand fit, scale, texture, cutout depth, and how the keychain hardware changed the silhouette.
Kept the object focused: a textured sleeve, open lighter access, diagonal M-inspired geometry, and two clean colorways that read immediately.
Presented the case as a sellable accessory with front and side views, controlled lighting, and enough surface detail to show the 3D printed material.
Placed the cases around BMW performance cues so the utility object connects back to the enthusiast world that inspired the form.
