Stage 2 Studios collaborated with STYLL to design and produce a commemorative T-shirt inspired by the annual Terry Fox Run.
The objective was to honour Terry Fox’s legacy while integrating the expressive typography, layered collage, shine, and attitude of 1990s hip-hop apparel. The final piece needed to feel credible to STYLL’s audience while reflecting the purpose and values associated with the Terry Fox Foundation.
Every visual decision began with the Marathon of Hope and Terry Fox’s lasting cultural impact.
The tribute was filtered through the bold, nostalgic visual codes already native to the brand.
The creative system was built to survive printing, materials, deadlines, and real-world wear.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
Milestones were established for concept development, client reviews, approvals, vendor preparation, and final production.
A curated 1990s hip-hop tee reference board defined colour, scale, custom typography, collage density, and nostalgic finishing cues.
Terry Fox imagery, the Marathon of Hope, Canadian currency, the support van, flame treatments, and dimensional lettering were composed into one visual narrative.
Multiple layouts, colour treatments, and placements were reviewed with STYLL until the tribute and brand identity felt properly balanced.

PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT
Production-ready files were prepared to the printing vendor’s specifications, with careful attention to dimensions, resolution, placement, and output format.
High-quality shirt materials were sourced to support the visual and tactile requirements. Samples were reviewed and vendor communication remained active throughout printing, allowing quality control to continue through final delivery.
The final shirts were delivered on schedule and exceeded client expectations. The design was praised by STYLL and supporters, strengthened the brand’s presence, and contributed a memorable physical piece to the Terry Fox Run.
The project demonstrated complete creative production management: cultural research, concept development, design refinement, technical preparation, vendor coordination, and quality assurance.
